Historically it has been accepted that field trays and bulk containers do not receive the detailed washing often required for food containers, due to their use and environments. However in the modern age, food industry hygienists are requesting a higher level of cleaning for bulk containers, crates, and pallets used within the farming industry. This along with prevention of cross contamination between crops, and pathogen transfers, has increased the levels of cleaning required.
